Happy 7th Birthday Sweetie!

Today my husband turned 28 on his 7th birthday. The day started off opening presents, followed by a phone call to a radio station- and the host called me a 'cradle robber'.  Since this was the first real birthday I have had with Eric, I wanted to do something extra special. We invited a bunch of our friends to Pizza Hut for dinner and then a few of us went bowling. Eric wanted his traditional German chocolate cake with homemade frosting. It didn't turn out quite like his mom's, but Eric said it still tasted great and everyone seemed to choke it down just fine- so no complaints here. (Mindi, I'll get the recipe on here soon!)  So all together, it was a great night!  I'm not usually one to get schmoopy on these blogs, but I did want to say how much I absolutely love and adore my husband.  He makes me the happiest I've ever been.  He is a genius in my eyes and such a hard worker.  Which brings me to my next point....
Determined
Worker
Intense
Good worker
Hard worker
Terrific

Seriously though, I love my husband beyond words.  Thank you so much for being born!

Tagged!!....

10 years ago:
I was 15 and dreaming of the days I'd soon be cruisin in my ride. I was a hairbrush singer and a bedroom dancer!

5 things on my to-do list today:
work
make young women calendars
shop for my husbands birthday (he's turning 28 on his 7th birthday!)
laundry
read

5 snacks I enjoy:  (where do I begin?)
sweet/salty peanut bars
chocolate covered peanuts
chips/salsa
pickles
green apples & salt  (thanks, grandpa!)

What would I do if suddenly made a billionaire:
adopt a whole family of kids, pay for the rest of Erics Pharmacy school, house, uh, my mind can't really comprehend what a billion dollars is, so that question is quite difficult to answer

5 Places I have lived:
Enterprise, UT
Moapa, NV
Bloomington, UT
St. George, UT
Missoula, MT

5 Jobs I have had:
Dairy Queen
Ramada Inn
Southwest Surgical Associates
Western Montana Clinic
In order to make it to 5, I'll add in baby sitting!

5 things you don't know about me:
I'm an open book, I'm not sure there is much!
1: I love the smell of dirt (depends where its from) and the paste from kindergarten
2: Although I have taken shots for 13 years now, I get queasy when I watch someone else get an injection.
3:  I hate cotton balls.  Just to think of them getting torn apart, oh, I have the chills.  (despite what my husband thinks, i'm not scared of cotton.  Try tearing it apart and that squeaky feeling.)  ahhh!
4:  I have a soft spot in my heart for elderly people.  I get a little teary eyed when I see an elderly person eating alone in a restaurant.
5:  If I tweak my eyes just right I can look like Ed from the Lion King, and I can imitate Shakira pretty accurately!  Don't ask me to do either!

Another mug shot to remember

So here is another bright kid wearing a clever shirt for his mug shot. While it is not as funny as the other kids shirt, it is quite entertaining! I hope you get a laugh!

Romney Rally!

Sara and I had the great privilege of going to a 'Romney for President' rally on Friday night at a hotel down town. Mrs Romney was scheduled to be there, but she and the Governor went to SLC for President Hinckley's funeral. So their son Matt came in her stead and spoke to us for about 20 minutes and then answered some questions. One guy wanted him to speak ill of other candidates, but Matt was very professional and stayed positive about the topics. There were about 200 people there so it was nice to see some supporters here in "little Berkley".   We stood in line for 15 minutes to shake his hand and he was nice enough to smile for a picture and ask our names. I shook his hand and said, "with their busy schedules its nice to know they still have time to go to the funeral tomorrow. It means a lot to us."  He agreed and said that it was very important for them to be able to go.
